I have over 20 years of experience as a drummer and percussionist playing in many bands throughout that time. I have lived and played in Los Angeles, Ca, Savannah, GA and now Statesville, NC where I currently live. I have experience playing different styles of music from Top 40 music, Gospel, New Thought, Blues and Latin Jazz, Soul music etc.

Some of my best highlights include playing drums under the direction of Alexander Hamilton for playwright Donald Welch; completing engagements of four of Donald’s plays at the LA Wilshire Ebell Theater including “Let The Church Roll On” starring Marla Gibbs and Dorian Wilson, “Heaven Bound”, .“Hallelujah Mahalia” & The First Lady of Zion. Playing with The Anaesthetics on the Hollywood strip at Venues such as the Whiskey A Go-Go, The Rainbow Room and the Alligator Lounge. Playing with the incomparable Latin Jazz Artist Bobby Rodriguez who gave my first introduction into the world of Latin Jazz. As a result of this Rochelle became extremely interested in Latin music and began to take Timbale lessons from world renowned drummer and percussionist Tiki Pasillas and Robertito Melendez and has continued to take lessons and study the instrument ever since. Due to her gift of quick study, Rochelle is often asked to join impromptu gigs because of her ability to pick up or create arrangements for other bands making her proficient as a drummer and percussionist. Rochelle is always honing her skills, reaching across genres developing innovative ideas.

I currently play drums for the Christy Snow band that plays new thought/uplifting music. I am also looking for new musical adventures. I have a great affinity for British pop/dance/jazz bands like the Brand New Heavies, Jamiroquai or the Haggis horns. My dream is to play with a dance band and or a Cuban salsa band, with lots of percussion and a killer horn section or a mixture of both.
